Overview Build a career shaping the future of agriculture, food systems and agribusiness. Develop the scientific, technical and business knowledge to improve food security, sustainability and human health. Complete 2 programs in 4 years and prepare for management roles in Australia and globally. In Agribusiness, learn the growing, processing, trading, marketing and financing of food and fibres, and the value chain linking producers and consumers, building transferable business skills through case studies, simulations and industry projects. In your final year, apply this knowledge with an agribusiness organisation, tackling real challenges from carbon-neutral agriculture to sustainable marketing. In Agricultural Science, build strong foundations in biological concepts, plant and animal systems, ecology, chemistry, data analysis and sustainable practice. Then specialise in Crop Science (agronomy and horticulture) or Animal Science (livestock production, care and management). Learn from research-connected academics and gain hands-on experience across more than 1,000 hectares of working farmland, using technologies like drones, GPS, crop sensors and AI-driven data analysis. Entry requirements Prerequisites Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent): General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C) General Mathematics or Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C) Agricultural Science and Biology are recommended subjects. Minimum entry score Check the minimum entry scores for the individual programs. You must meet the higher score. Bachelor of Agribusiness Bachelor of Agricultural Science Equivalent subjects Subject Qualification equivalent English language requirements IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19. PTE Academic - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands. BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills. CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands. OET is not accepted. There are other ways to meet the English language requirements. For some programs, additional conditions apply.
