Common Questions
Yes. If you decide either degree isn't right for you, you can exit one and complete the other as a standalone qualification.
You can choose from a wide range of undergraduate majors available within the Bachelor of Arts. You can also include minors and elective units in your degree alongside the Agricultural Science and Technology Extended Major from the Bachelor of Agricultural Science component.
You need Mathematics Methods ATAR or Mathematics Applications ATAR (students without ATAR mathematics will take two first-year mathematics units), and Chemistry ATAR or an additional chemistry unit taken in the first year. You must also achieve a minimum ATAR of 80 or equivalent and demonstrate English language competence.
The Bachelor of Agricultural Science will provide you with skills in research and technology, and knowledge for the sustainable and ethical development of the agricultural industry. You'll learn to investigate the challenges of a rapidly growing population, climate change, and the limitations of land and fresh water and how this impacts the ability of agriculture to meet the demand for food.
This combined degree has two intake periods per year — February and July — and is available at the Perth campus. You can apply directly to UWA through their online application portal.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
