Yes. Before applying, it is important for you to read and fully understand the inherent requirements for the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience. These requirements include, but are not limited to, physical fitness and ability to handle a range of large and small animals; required vaccinations (specifically Q fever); and effective written communication skills.
The closing date for Semester 1 entry is 31 January of the commencing year, and the closing date for Semester 2 entry is 15 July of the commencing year. Separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
Students will acquire a broad overview of both domestic animals and wildlife species and their environment, and an integrated comparative knowledge in fields such as applied animal biotechnologies, reproduction and nutrition. This will be supported by detailed knowledge of animal structure and function and a focus on application of innovative approaches and technologies to enhance animal management and welfare.
