To be eligible, students must have completed the requirements of the 3-year Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience specialist degree (or equivalent degree) and meet the progression requirements for Honours set by the faculty.
The Honours program requires completion of 12 credit points of Honours core coursework units, 12 credit points of selective coursework, and 24 credit points of Honours research project units. Students must complete a piece of research and present their results in some combination of a written report or thesis, a presentation, and/or an oral examination.
Students are encouraged to commence the application process in their final year of the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience or equivalent degree. Standard closing dates are 15 January of the commencing year for Semester 1 entry and 25 June of the commencing year for Semester 2 entry. Separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
