Students in the Bachelor of Animation will explore advanced techniques in industry-standard software including Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine 5, SideFX Houdini, Foundry NukeX, Pixologic ZBrush and Adobe Creative Suite.
The Bachelor of Animation offers multiple duration options: 6 Trimesters Full Time (Fast Track) over approximately 2 years, 8 Trimesters Full Time over approximately 2.5 years, or 9 Trimesters Full Time over approximately 3 years. A part-time option is also available for domestic students.
For domestic students, the course consists of 18 units at $2,999 each and 3 units at $5,998 each, with an indicative annual course fee of $23,992 AUD (based on 1.0 EFTSL), plus a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). FEE-HELP is available. For international students, fees are 18 units at $3,495 each and 3 units at $6,990 each, with an indicative annual course fee of $27,960 AUD plus SSAF.
The Bachelor of Animation is available at SAE's Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney campuses, with intake dates in May 2026, September 2026, and February 2027 at all five locations.
