The Bachelor of Animation can be completed in three different timeframes: 6 Trimesters Full Time (Fast Track) over approximately 2 years, 8 Trimesters Full Time over approximately 2.5 years, or 9 Trimesters Full Time over approximately 3 years. A part-time option is also available for domestic students, with the flexibility to change study load throughout the course.
Yes, the course includes a Work Integrated Learning unit (CIM310) which provides a professional experience opportunity at one or more host organisations, requiring a minimum of 80 hours of placement. This is designed to bridge the gap between study and work and help build your professional network.
For domestic students, the course consists of 18 units at $2,999 each and 3 units at $5,998 each, with an indicative annual course fee of $23,992 AUD (based on 1.0 EFTSL), plus a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). FEE-HELP is available for eligible domestic students. For international students, the fees are 18 units at $3,495 each and 3 units at $6,990 each, with an indicative annual course fee of $27,960 AUD, plus SSAF.
Students can choose from a range of specialisation electives including Concept Art (ANI219), Technical Animation and Rigging (ANI215), Applied 2D Animation (ANI221), Real-Time VFX (GAD315), 2D Asset Production (GAD178), Physics-Based & Procedural Animation (VDP201), VFX Compositing and Post-Production (VDP202), Introduction to Compositing (VDP171), and Digital Sculpting (VDP220), allowing students to tailor their studies to their desired industry specialisation.
