Common Questions
The Fast Track option allows you to complete your Bachelor of Animation in 2 years by studying units across 6 trimesters, compared to the standard 8 trimesters (2.5 years) or 9 trimesters (3 years) full-time options.
You will explore advanced techniques in industry-standard software including Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine 5, SideFX Houdini, Foundry NukeX, Pixologic ZBrush, and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Autodesk 3Ds Max and Blender in foundational units.
Domestic fees are structured as 18 units at $2,999 each and 3 units at $5,998 each, with an indicative Annual Course Fee of $23,992 AUD (based on 1.0 EFTSL), plus the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). FEE-HELP is available for eligible domestic students.
The Bachelor of Animation is available at SAE's Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney campuses, with on-campus and blended delivery options.
International students must be 18 years or above upon arrival in Australia, have completed Year 12 English at an Australian secondary school or equivalent, and meet English language requirements including a minimum Academic IELTS overall band of 6.0 with no individual band below 5.5 (completed within the last two years), or equivalent. A pathway option via an SAE-approved Academic English program is also available.
