Successful completion of the Bachelor of Animation / Bachelor of Applied Innovation requires students to complete units of study to the value of 400 credit points. All units of study are valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated.
To maximise experiential learning, students get real-world work experience in the form of placements, internships and industry-based projects. Students also get hands-on experience in 2D, 3D and stop-motion animation. At the end of the course, students emerge job-ready with a comprehensive portfolio.
The estimated yearly tuition fee for 2026 is $17,399 AUD, with a total estimated course fee of $69,596 AUD. Domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place may be eligible for HECS-HELP, with a total CSP fee of approximately $45,510 AUD. A Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) of $373 AUD (capped amount for 2026) is also applicable.
A study score of 25 in Art Creative Practice, Drama, Product Design and Technologies, Literature, Media, Creative and Digital Media (VCE VET) I, Art Making and Exhibiting, Theatre Studies or Visual Communication Design equals 4 aggregate points per study, with an overall maximum of 10 points. These subject adjustment points are applied to the aggregate, not the ATAR.
Throughout the Bachelor of Animation / Bachelor of Applied Innovation, students will develop skills in critical thinking and judgement, production techniques, communication, creative problem-solving, adaptability, and collaboration.
