Graduates of the Bachelor of Applied Geology, Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) are eligible for membership of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and/or the Geological Society of Australia.
The guaranteed ATAR for this course is 70. If you achieve this ATAR/selection rank and meet all other entry requirements, you are guaranteed a place in this course.
The 2026 domestic indicative Commonwealth-supported first-year fee is $12,900. This is based on a first-year full-time study load of 200 credit points and does not include administrative, incidental fees, or textbook costs.
Students will have the opportunity to engage with industry through internships, guest lectures and industry events, and can also compete in competitions such as the global CFA Institute Research Challenge.
The essential prerequisite subject for this course is Mathematics Applications ATAR. For those applying via a Curtin course switch, this prerequisite can also be met by completing one of the following Curtin units: MATH1013 Introductory Mathematics, MATH1014 Foundations of Calculus, or MATH1015 Linear Algebra.
