The Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) is not itself an accredited professional qualification, but it serves as a direct pathway to the two-year accredited Master of Architecture. To work as an architect in Australia, you must be registered with the Architects' Board of your state or territory. Curtin's Master of Architecture program provides a pathway to registration when combined with the required professional experience and completion of the Architectural Practice Examination.
The guaranteed ATAR for the Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science) at Curtin University is 70. If you achieve this ATAR/selection rank and meet all other entry requirements, you are guaranteed a place in this course.
You must meet Curtin's English language requirements for this course. The required IELTS Academic scores are: Overall band score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6 in each of the Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening components. If you have completed a different English test or qualification, you may be able to use it to meet this requirement.
Throughout your studies, you'll benefit from engagement with industry practitioners and guest lecturers. Industry-integrated projects will give you a real-world understanding of design and construction, and how architecture relates to society and culture. You may also have opportunities for immersive industry experiences with organisations such as GHDWoodhead, Water Corporation, and Woods Bagot, Cox and Hassell consultants.
The 2026 domestic indicative Commonwealth-supported first-year fee is $9,600. This is based on a first-year full-time study load of 200 credit points. Fees will vary depending on the units you choose, and this indicative fee does not include other fees like administrative and incidental fees or the cost of textbooks. All Australian students studying an undergraduate degree are automatically awarded a Commonwealth supported place, which is subsidised by the Australian Government.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
