Honours Thesis A
Students attend classes on research methods and statistics, ethics, library skills, writing a literature review, and presentation skills.
Honours Thesis B
The student will work closely with their supervisor to carry out, analyse and synthesise their results, and submit a thesis describing the project and its implications.
Common Questions
The focus of the Honours program is on individual research. Each student will contribute to designing and/or implementing an approved research project and submit a thesis describing the project and its implications.
Students will complete two units of study over the twelve months: BHSC4005 Honours Thesis A in semester 1, and BHSC4006 Honours Thesis B in semester 2.
Applications open on 21 October of the preceding year, close on 15 January of the commencing year, and offers are made by 31 January of the commencing year.
Yes, each student will work closely with academic staff, normally 2 co-supervisors, who will supervise their research activities. Students will meet regularly with their supervisors and attend seminars and workshops that contribute to the research process and their thesis.
Each student will submit a thesis comprised of their literature review, their research proposal, their journal manuscript and associated methods chapter, their final oral slides, and their response to the questions.
