Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy)

The Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) is an undergraduate coursework degree that will prepare you for professional practice as an occupational therapist. Over four years you will gain skills to support people experiencing disability, injury or with ongoing conditions or needs to manage barriers that may be preventing them from participating more fully in life. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. You will complete core units in occupational therapy and a minor in Disability, Participation and Health. In addition, you will select elective units from other discipline areas, or choose further specialised units to complete a major in Disability, Participation and Health. Alternatively, an honours pathway for invited students is integrated into the final three semesters of the program. You will complete 1,000 hours of supervised work-based learning as part of this course.
