Yes, field work is a key part of the degree. In third year, students undertake a dedicated Field Methods topic, and the course emphasises real-world, hands-on experiences throughout.
This course provides archaeological training to the standard prescribed by the Australian Archaeology Skills Passport.
After graduating, you can take your knowledge further with graduate programs in Archaeology and Heritage Management or Maritime Archaeology. You can also consider an Honours year in Archaeology, where you will work with experts on an independent research project and thesis.
