The Guaranteed Entry ATAR for this course is 65. You'll be guaranteed a place if you meet or exceed this score, provided you meet the course prerequisites. If your ATAR is below the guaranteed entry score, you can still be offered a place as your ATAR may be adjusted based on subject adjustments, equity schemes or other factors.
Yes. For domestic students, you need VCE Units 3 and 4 with a minimum study score of 25 in any English (except EAL) or 30 in English as Alternate Language (EAL) or equivalent, as well as satisfactory completion of VCE Units 1 and 2 in two units (any study combination) of any Mathematics or equivalent.
Yes. A study score of 25 in Algorithmics (HESS), any Information Technology, any Mathematics or any Science equals 2 aggregate points per study, and a study score of 30 in those subjects equals 3 aggregate points per study, with an overall maximum of 10 points. Note that subject adjustment points are applied to the aggregate, not the ATAR.
The course is offered at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus, with intakes available in both Semester 1 and Semester 2. It is a 3-year full-time course, or equivalent part-time.
International students must satisfy one of the following: an IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0, or Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with an overall score of 70% and all skills at 65% or above, or equivalent measures as outlined on the English language requirements page.
