Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Health Sciences

There are ten specialisations available: Aerospace engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical engineering, Civil engineering, Environmental engineering, Electrical and computer systems engineering, Materials engineering, Mechanical engineering, Robotics and Mechatronics engineering, and Software engineering. Note that Aerospace engineering and Environmental engineering are not available at Monash University Malaysia in 2026, and Biomedical Engineering is not available in any double degree courses.

The Masters Accelerated Pathway is available at the Clayton campus and is designed for high-achieving students. By attaining a weighted average mark of 60% by the end of level 2, you qualify to use four electives during your Bachelor's to complete Master's-level units. Successful completion of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with a minimum 65% average enables direct entry to the Master of Engineering with only 24 credit points (approximately half a year) of study remaining. This pathway is available for Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Electrical and computer systems, Environmental, Materials, Mechanical, and Robotics and mechatronics engineering specialisations.

The course requires 192 credit points in total. These are structured across Part A (Engineering fundamentals and design studies – 30 credit points), Part B (Breadth studies – 18 credit points), and Parts C, D and E (Specialist studies – 144 credit points). Engineering minors are worth 24 credit points.

Yes. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) can be combined with a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Biomedical Science (selected specialisations only), Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Computer Science (selected specialisations only), Bachelor of Information Technology (selected specialisations only), Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (selected specialisations only), Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Architectural Design (Civil engineering only), Bachelor of Design (Industrial design and Mechanical engineering only), or Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Chemical engineering only). Biomedical Engineering is not available in any double degree combination.

Yes. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) is accredited by Engineers Australia at the level of Professional Engineer and by the Engineering Accreditation Council of Malaysia. It is recognised under the Washington Accord, allowing graduates to work in any signatory country without re-qualifying. The Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) is additionally accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) at the professional-level membership standard. The Biomedical Engineering specialisation has achieved provisional accreditation by Engineers Australia, with full accreditation based on the initial graduating cohort.

If you have not completed the Australian VCE (Units 3 & 4) or equivalent Specialist mathematics and/or Physics with the required study score, you will need to enrol in the foundation units ENG1090 and/or PHS1001 before or alongside your first-year studies.
