Common Questions
Each year, approximately 30 domestic and 10 international places can be offered. This includes both the Bachelor of Arts/Doctor of Medicine and the Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Medicine double degrees combined.
Domestic students apply through UAC (Universities Admissions Centre). Applications open on Wed 2 April 2025, with the close of on-time UAC applications on Tue 30 September 2025. Eligible applicants will be invited to an in-person assessment day after ATAR release, and assessment dates and modes are not negotiable — candidates must attend the first assessment day after the release of their results.
International students can apply directly to the University, with the close of direct international applications on Fri 31 October 2025. Online assessments for international applicants are scheduled for Thu 25 September 2025, Wed 3 December 2025, and Wed 28 January 2026. Applications should be submitted through the University's application portal.
You will complete a major from the Arts and Social Sciences disciplinary pool, along with a minor or second major from either the disciplinary pool or the shared pool. Additionally, you will complete foundational knowledge units from the Faculty of Science in preparation for the Doctor of Medicine, as well as any elective units needed to make up the required credit points for the degree.
The double degree is structured so that you first complete the requirements of the Bachelor of Arts, and after doing so, you then complete the requirements of the Doctor of Medicine as outlined by the Faculty of Medicine and Health. The Doctor of Medicine is an accredited postgraduate masters-level course in clinical medical training and research.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
