Common Questions
You can choose one major from Arts and one from Science. Arts majors include Creative Writing, Drama, Visual Arts, Ancient Studies, Archaeology, Critical Indigenous Studies, Digital Heritage, English, Gender Studies, Geography and Environmental Studies, History, Medieval and Early Modern Studies, Philosophy, Political Sciences, Sociology, Applied Linguistics, French, Indonesian, Italian, and Spanish. Science majors include Chemistry, Mathematics, Molecular Biology, and Wireless Systems Security, among others.
Domestic students can gain guaranteed entry with an ATAR of 75.00. Alternative entry options include a STAT score of 150.0, a GPA of 4.5, a TAFE/VET Certificate IV or above, or through pathway options such as the Diploma in Arts. There are no prerequisites or assumed knowledge required.
In Year 1, you explore foundational topics in both arts and science, including 2 topics from each chosen major, a communication topic, a mathematics or biostatistics topic, and 2 electives. In Year 2, you deepen your understanding by continuing your majors and choosing 2 electives across arts or science areas such as coding, design or environmental studies. In Year 3, you study advanced topics in both majors and choose a professional or capstone option from Science Connect, Research Project in Science, or a 6-week Industry-based Practicum, plus 1 elective.
For 2026, the annual indicative fees are $12,867 for Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) domestic students and $43,500 for Full Fee Paying (FFP) international students.
The degree is available full-time or part-time for domestic students, delivered in person at the Bedford Park campus. However, part-time equivalent study options are not available for international students. The course is deferrable and intakes are available in March and July.
