The minimum Selection Rank for guaranteed entry is 70. Your Selection Rank is your ATAR or IB Combined Rank plus any adjustments you are eligible to receive, such as those based on subjects studied, school location, or equity and access schemes.
The Bachelor of Arts – Bachelor of Communication and Media takes 4.5 years to complete as a full-time student, or the part-time equivalent. UOW notes that a double degree provides a world-class qualification in less time and at less cost than studying the two degrees separately.
You must select at least one major from the Bachelor of Arts and at least one major from the Bachelor of Communication and Media. See the course handbook for more information on available majors.
The course starts in both Autumn and Spring sessions. For Autumn 2026, the session starts on 2 March 2026, with domestic UAC Early Bird applications due 30 September 2025 and direct domestic applications due 31 December 2025. For Spring 2026, the session starts on 27 July 2026, with domestic direct applications due 31 May 2026. An Autumn 2027 intake is also available, starting 1 March 2027.
Yes, Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are available for this course. For eligible domestic students, Australian government funding will contribute towards tuition fees, with the remaining proportion known as a student contribution, which will depend on when you begin study (enrolment year) and study area.
