Macquarie University accepts the following HSC English subjects for entry: English Standard (minimum Band 5, 80+), English Advanced (minimum Band 5, 80+), English Extension 1 (minimum E3, 35+), and English Extension 2 (minimum E3, 35+).
Yes, a Mathematics subject is required. Applicants must have completed one of the following: Mathematics (minimum Band 2, 55+), Mathematics Extension 1 (minimum E2, 25), Mathematics Extension 2 (minimum E2, 50), or Mathematics General (minimum Band 5, 80).
Yes, in addition to an eligible English subject and a Mathematics subject, applicants must also have achieved a minimum Band 5 (80+) in at least one other HSC subject not already listed in the English or Mathematics requirements.
For HSC English Standard, applicants need to achieve a minimum Band 5 with a mark of 80 or above to meet the academic entry requirements for the Bachelor of Arts - Media at Macquarie University.
