Only returning and current students who commenced a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) degree in 2017 or prior are eligible to apply. Candidates must have completed 48 senior credit points in their intended subject area, including completion of the major, with an average of 70% or above.
The application process is through the online system Sydney Student. You must consult with the Honours Coordinator before the end of October in the year prior to your intended enrolment, and submit a research proposal to the Honours Coordinator via email (Word .doc attachment) by the end of November. The standard closing date for Semester 1 entry is 15 January of the commencing year.
Part-time study is available for eligible applicants; however, it is not available to international student visa holders.
For Commonwealth Supported domestic students, the indicative Student Contribution Amount for Year 1 of full-time study (48 credit points / 1.0 EFTSL) is $17,399. This amount is subject to annual increase each year of study, subject to a maximum amount determined by the Australian Government.
The Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) Honours year is the Faculty's essential research training pathway to higher degrees by research in the humanities and social sciences.
