You must have successfully completed an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in a relevant photographic discipline with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (out of 4.0). Secondary education (Year 12), VET study, and work and life experience are not considered for entry. You must also complete and submit a selection task as part of your application, and meet RMIT's minimum English language requirements.
All applicants must complete a selection task. For international students, this involves submitting: a research proposal of 500–700 words (including a proposed project title, research topic outline, aims, methods, and prior reading); a folio of 10–12 recent photographic works completed over the past 18 months that cohere around a topic; and a declaration on the use of AI tools. All materials must be collated into a single PDF and uploaded with the online application. For Semester 1 2027, selection task details for domestic students will be available from early August 2026.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
