To gain entry, you need a minimum Band 5 in one science or mathematics subject (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture, Earth & Environmental Science, Mathematics Advanced, or E2 in Mathematics Extension 1 or 2), a minimum Band 4 in a second science or mathematics subject, and a minimum Band 3 in three additional Category A or Extension subjects not already used to satisfy another requirement.
Yes, HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and Mathematics Extension 2 can be used to satisfy entry requirements. Extension 1 and Extension 2 require a minimum result of E2 for the primary subject requirement, and a minimum of E1 for the secondary subject requirement.
A total of six subjects are required: one primary science or mathematics subject (Band 5 or equivalent), one secondary science or mathematics subject (Band 4 or equivalent), and three additional Category A or Extension subjects at a minimum of Band 3 or E1, none of which can be used to satisfy more than one requirement.
Yes, Earth & Environmental Science is an eligible subject for both the primary requirement (minimum Band 5) and the secondary requirement (minimum Band 4) for academic entry into the Bachelor of Biodiversity and Conservation at Macquarie University.
