About This Course

The world of business is constantly evolving and filled with all kinds of incredible opportunities. The Bachelor of Business is a practical course designed to give students an applied, real-world perspective on contemporary business. The course (144 credit points, 3 years full-time) is structured in four parts: Part A (Core studies, 48 credit points) includes a specified business elective chosen from units such as BEX2000 Digital technology and business, BEX2030 Social business, BEX2421 Harnessing big data for business and society, BEX2500 Integrative thinking in a dynamic world, or MON2750/MON2100 (Monash Innovation Guarantee / Global Immersion Guarantee); Part B (Major studies, 42 credit points) is where students specialise in one of fourteen majors; Part C (Capstone studies, 6 credit points) offers applied options including capstone units, consulting projects (BEX3350/BEX3351/BEX3450), international experiences (study tours and global study programs in accounting, banking and finance, marketing, and European business), or internships and industry placements (BEX3006/BEX3012/BEX3024, MKX3631 Marketing internship, BEX3115 Tax clinic); and Part D (Elective studies, 48 credit points) allows further specialisation, a second major, or a 24-credit-point minor. High-achieving students (65%+ weighted average) may apply for an accelerated pathway into a Monash master's degree using elective credit.
