Strategic Project Management – Capstone Part 1

Applied Business Project – Capstone Part 2
Capstone Part 2 where students apply skills in simulated (BUS3002a) or real-world industry projects (BUS3002b) for internal or external clients, covering project management, stakeholder communication, project briefing, planning, and implementation.

Common Questions
The Bachelor of Business offers specialisations in International Business Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management (available from March 2026), Accounting, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Business Technology. Please note that Accounting, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Business Technology are not available in 2026.
The Bachelor of Business costs $36,000 in total, charged at $1,500 per unit. The course is typically a 3-year full-time program, with part-time study available for non-Visa (domestic) students. The total course requires completion of 144 credit points across 24 units.
Yes, VIT provides two exit qualifications. Students may exit with a Diploma of Business after completing 8 core units (48 credit points, equivalent to two full-time semesters), or continue to complete the full Bachelor of Business (24 units totalling 144 credit points including 9 core units, 2 capstone units, 6 specialisation units, and 7 elective units).
The Accounting specialisation in the Bachelor of Business is not currently accredited by CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), or any other professional accrediting bodies. VIT is currently in the process of applying for such accreditation; however, it has not yet been granted. Students enrolling with an accounting specialisation should be aware that their qualification may not be recognised by CPA or CA ANZ, which could impact their ability to meet the requirements for professional practice in the accounting field.
Yes, eligible students may receive up to a maximum of 72 credit points (twelve units) for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) towards the Bachelor of Business, with a maximum of 18 credit points (three units) able to offset specialisation units. For the Diploma of Business exit qualification, eligible students may receive up to a maximum of 24 credit points (four units) for RPL. Students must complete at least 50% of their units at VIT to qualify for a VIT award.
