Bachelor of Business (Accounting)

Yes. The Bachelor of Business (Accounting) is accredited by CPA Australia (CPAA), Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) in the UK, and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). Successful completion of the degree meets the criteria to apply to ACCA, CAANZ, and CPA Australia to join and undertake their professional programs for full membership.

For international students, the CRICOS-registered duration is 156 weeks or 3 years of full-time study (6 semesters). For domestic students, the course is 3 years full-time or 6 years part-time. Please note that part-time mode is not available to holders of a student visa who are not a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, or who are not an Australian permanent resident or temporary resident.

The course is delivered at four campuses: Level 16, 233 Castlereagh Street, Sydney NSW 2000; 363 King Street, West Melbourne Victoria 3003; Level 1, West, 237 Ryrie Street, Geelong Victoria 3220; and 107 George St, Parramatta NSW 2150. The delivery mode is blended, meaning it is delivered partially on campus and partially online.

International students must meet one of the following English language requirements: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL 575 or better; TOEFL IBT 91 or better; TOEFL CBT 235 or better; Academic PTE 50 or better; Cambridge English CAE and CPE (from 2015) 176 or better; GCE A Levels with a C or better in English; KITE all bands B2 with a result greater than 450 in each band; or Duolingo overall 115 with no band less than 110. English Language Test results are valid for two years from the date of the results up to the date of commencement at the Institute.

Yes. Granting credit for prior learning ensures that students commence study at a level that appropriately recognises their prior learning experiences and are not required to repeat equivalent learning successfully undertaken in another context. The process for applying for Advance Standing (credit) can be found in the Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedure. Note that Advanced Standing that does not exceed 4 of the 100-level units still makes you eligible to obtain a Diploma of Business upon completing all 8 100-level units.
