The course provides work-integrated learning opportunities including community-based volunteering, team projects and business internships. Students must complete one WIL unit chosen from Business for Social Impact (MWL305), Consultancy Experience (MWL316), Entrepreneurship Experience (MWL317), Internship (MWL318), International Consultancy Experience (MWL319), or an approved international learning experience such as study program, student exchange or overseas short course.
For current or recent secondary education applicants, a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education with an unadjusted ATAR of at least 50 or equivalent is required. The lowest selection rank for Burwood (Melbourne) is 65.05 (based on 2026 early and first round VTAC offers including relevant adjustment factors), and a Deakin Guaranteed ATAR of 55 is available for eligible students at that campus. The Online intake has an unpublished lowest selection rank with a Deakin Guaranteed ATAR of 60.
All students in the Bachelor of Business Analytics have the option to complete a minor sequence chosen from the following: digital finance, economic analytics, retail management, and security management. A minor is 4 credit points and can be selected from the specified minor list as part of the 8 credit points of open electives.
To complete the Bachelor of Business Analytics, you must pass 24 credit points. This includes the DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin (0-credit-point compulsory unit) in your first study period, 15 credit points of core units, 1 credit point of Work Integrated Learning (WIL), course elective units, and 8 credit points of open elective units. There is a maximum of 10 credit points at level 1 and a minimum of 6 credit points at level 3. As a full-time student you will study four credit points per trimester and usually undertake two trimesters per year.
