Common Questions
Students will study three 30-credit point internship units as part of this course. For each internship unit, students will complete a minimum of 225 hours of learning in a work setting. The first internship unit (FBL3400) is completed in one semester, the second unit (SBL3102) in the following semester, and the third unit (FBL3500) in the subsequent semester. Internships and work placements will be secured through the work-integrated learning team, or through pre-approved networking and contacts developed by the student.
For domestic students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $17,400 (Commonwealth supported). For international students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $38,600.
Domestic students can study full-time or part-time at the City Campus or Online, with intakes available in both Semester 1 and Semester 2. International students can study full-time at the City Campus, with intakes available in Semester 1 and Semester 2.
The course learning outcomes include: engaging in ethical and socially responsible behaviour; applying broad knowledge and diverse perspectives in business analytics contexts; solving complex business analytics problems with critical thinking; generating innovative and creative ideas in business analytics contexts; communicating effectively in business analytics contexts; collaborating effectively as a member of a team; and reflecting on experiences for personal and professional development.
English competency requirements (Band 3) may be satisfied through: Year 12 English ATAR/English Literature ATAR grade C or better or equivalent; Special Tertiary Admissions Test; IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0); successfully completed 1.0 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher in the UK, Ireland, USA, NZ or Canada; University Preparation Course; Indigenous University Orientation Course; AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree; successfully completed 0.375 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent); or other tests, courses or programs defined on the English Proficiency Bands page.
