The Guaranteed Entry ATAR for the Bachelor of Business Analytics and Analysis/Bachelor of Applied Innovation is 60.0. You'll be guaranteed a place in this course if you meet or exceed this score, provided you also meet the course prerequisites. If your ATAR is below the guaranteed entry score, you can still be offered a place as your ATAR may be adjusted based on subject adjustments, equity schemes or other factors.
Subject adjustment points are available for this course: a study score of 25 in any Business, any Information Technology or any Mathematics equals 2 aggregate points per study, and a study score of 30 in any Business, any Information Technology or any Mathematics equals 3 aggregate points per study. There is an overall maximum of 10 points. Note that subject adjustment points are applied to the aggregate, not the ATAR.
The two available majors are Business Analysis and Business Analytics. Business Analysis teaches students how to speak and interpret both business and tech languages, honing strategic thinking to identify business operational challenges and how data can predict opportunities and create solutions. Business Analytics focuses on drawing evidence from data to spot and forecast trends to help businesses make the best strategic decisions, including understanding how data can explain customer behaviour and measure business performance.
International students must satisfy one of the following English language requirements: an IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0; completion of Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 65% and all skills 65% or above; or equivalent measures as listed on Swinburne's English language requirements page. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
