No, there is no programming in this course. The Bachelor of Business (Cyber Security) focuses on Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) within a business context, rather than technical or coding skills. It is designed for students who want to work in the business aspects of Cyber Security.
The tuition fee for the full 3-year program is AUD $60,000. In addition, there is a Materials Fee of AUD $120 per semester (totalling AUD $720 over 6 semesters) and a non-refundable Administration Fee of AUD $250.
The course requires 24 subjects in total: 16 core subjects (comprising 8 Business Core and 8 Cyber Security Major subjects, all of which are compulsory) and 8 elective subjects. In the second year, students must undertake 4 out of 8 available elective subjects.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Business (Cyber Security) can pursue roles such as Cyber Security Analyst, Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner, Cyber Security Program Auditor, Cyber Security Project Officer, and Privacy Officer. Students are prepared for careers in large, medium and small organisations, in both the private and government sectors, including sales and marketing of Cyber Security services.
International students are required to demonstrate an IELTS score of 6.0 (Academic) with no individual band less than IELTS 5.5. They must also have completed Australian Year 12 or an equivalent qualification, and be at least 18 years of age.
