Career & Study Pathways
Higher Degree Researcher Pathway 1: The Professor — In the British university tradition, an Honours degree serves as the primary pathway to a PhD and, ultimately, a career in academia. This pathway typically involves teaching, research, publishing, and contributing to positive societal change.
Higher Degree Researcher Pathway 2: The R&D Professional — An Honours degree is also a direct entry point into a Master's or PhD by research, with career options that extend beyond academia. Honours graduates often pursue roles in think tanks, research officer positions, and similar roles, including positions with parliamentary bodies.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
