About This Course

The Bachelor of Business (International Hotel Management) is a three-year degree preparing globally-focused, career-ready hotel and hospitality leaders, with a full year of real industry experience built into the program across two 6-month work placements (or an accelerated 2.3-year pathway).

Year 1 combines core business subjects with Food and Beverage Service and Cuisine double units; Year 2 begins the industry placements alongside Human Resource Management, Marketing, International Hotel and Events, and Wine Fundamentals; Year 3 covers Hospitality Financial Management, Rooms Division Management, Business Law and Hospitality Strategic Management, plus a further two placements.

On completion you're awarded the CRICOS-registered Bachelor of Business (International Hotel Management) along with 12 months of work experience, preparing graduates for roles such as Hotel Manager, Resort Manager, Rooms Division Manager and Convention and Event Manager.

General Requirements

Minimum age: 18 years or older when the program commences.
Academic: Successful completion of Australian Year 12 with an ATAR of 60, or equivalent interstate/overseas secondary education. No ATAR is required for mature-age applicants (21+) with at least 3 years' relevant supervisory/management work experience.
English proficiency (international applicants): 6.0 Academic IELTS, with no band score below 5.5.
Credit: Academic Credit / RPL is assessed on application for applicants with prior higher education or VET study.
