The course comprises 26 subjects in total: 12 core business subjects, 6 specialisation subjects, 6 elective subjects, and 2 Work Integrated Learning (WIL) subjects.
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) subjects are built into the degree. Students complete a Professional Placement Preparation Program, then two trimesters of professional placements, for a minimum of 600 hours of industry training. Placements can be in a major city, regional area in Australia, or even in an international city.

In accordance with the Australian Government ESOS National Code, international students on a Student Visa can only undertake 33% of their total enrolment load online. They must be enrolled in at least one on-campus subject in each compulsory study period.
Elective subjects include options such as Cruise Management or Innovative Disruption, and students can also choose electives in a range of business areas such as marketing, event management, entrepreneurship, hospitality management and sports management, allowing them to enhance their International Tourism degree with subjects that reflect their interests and ambitions.
