Yes, the course is accredited by the CPA, CA ANZ and ACCA. Students will study a core of units covering specialisation for CPA/CA professional requirements. Additionally, students who take Islamic Business will study units that enable them to apply for registration as a Certified Islamic Public Accountant (CIPA), meaning the program allows a student the potential to register for both CPA/CA and CIPA.
The Bachelor of Business (Islamic Business) is a three-year full-time degree with a CRICOS duration of 156 weeks. The degree is comprised of 24 units studied over 6 trimesters, with 4 units per trimester session. Each trimester comprises 13 weeks of face-to-face classes and one-week end of session exam period, contained within a 14-week block. While there will be three trimesters per year, the third or summer trimester will be optional.
International students must demonstrate an overall valid academic IELTS score of 6.0, with no less than 6.0 in each band. Alternatively, they may provide evidence of an English proficiency of upper intermediate level or above from an approved ELICOS provider, successful completion of at least an Australian Certificate IV qualification within the last 2 years, or have successfully passed NAPS's English Placement Test. Any IELTS score used must have been attained within two years of the date of application for admission.
The tuition fee for the Bachelor of Business (Islamic Business) is AU$9,000 per trimester. Payment can be made by telegraphic transfer, cash, cheque or direct deposit into the Academy bank account. The Academy has also partnered with Flywire for an easy and secure method of sending bank account transfers (EFT & international payments).
Graduates of the Bachelor of Business (Islamic Business) can pursue careers as a Business Analyst, Risk Manager, Human Resources/Recruiter, Corporate Accountant, Business Researcher, Budget Analyst, Auditor, Business Consultant, Entrepreneur (including Small Business and Social Entrepreneur), and Sustainability Analyst. The degree also uniquely equips graduates to develop careers in business and accounting in both the private and public sectors in Western markets as well as the rapidly expanding Islamic finance markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Gulf Regions.
