Common Questions
Yes, the Marketing major has been vetted and accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI). On graduation, your degree is also recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK. As an accredited major, this is also your pathway to become a Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) in a shorter duration of time. Accreditation applies to course delivery in Melbourne and via RMIT Online.
Students receive complimentary AMI student membership throughout their studies, access to the AMI's monthly online newsletter, complimentary access to the AMI Content Library and AMI Monthly webinars, a digital badge certifying Student Membership, member rates and discounts for exclusive events and content, eligibility to participate in the AMI Mentoring Program (available to Postgraduate students), career opportunities at the Marketing Jobs Hub, and up to 30% discount on all AMI classroom training and events.
Yes, all majors and minors in the Bachelor of Business are complementary. You can tailor your learning by combining Marketing with a choice from 14 majors and 32 minor areas. Suggested combinations include Economics, Social Impact, Digital Economy, and Entrepreneurship majors, each offering complementary skills that prepare you for the complexities of the modern business landscape.
International students are charged AU$45,120 per year (2026 annual fee). Intakes are available in February, July, and October at the Melbourne City campus, with the course delivered on campus full-time over 3 years.
Graduates are prepared for roles in digital marketing, brand management, campaign strategy, customer analytics, product development and innovation, communication and advertising, customer experience design, social marketing, and sales. These opportunities span industries including retail, advertising, technology, consumer goods, and corporate services. Entry-level roles like marketing research analysts can start at around AU$70,000 a year, while senior positions such as marketing managers or brand/product managers can see salaries over AU$100,000.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
