Common Questions
The double degree takes 5.5 years to complete full-time, or 11 years part-time, and allows you to graduate with two degrees.
Through the Bachelor of Arts component, you can choose from the following majors: Community Education, Writing in a Digital World, Creative Industries, Digital Storytelling for Social Impact, Disaster, Justice and Community Recovery, Storytelling, Digital Culture and Games, Public and Social Policy, Technology for Social Good, Crime and the Media, and Open Major.
You must complete a total of 528 credit points: 180 credit points from the Bachelor of Arts (72 credit points of core units, 96 credit points for an Arts major, and 12 credit points of complementary studies), 324 credit points from the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (240 credit points of core units, 24 credit points of advanced law electives, and 60 credit points of law minor/electives), and 24 credit points of QUT You units.
Your law studies will include a deep understanding of the Australian legal system and knowledge in areas such as contract law, legal research, equity and trusts, constitutional law, administrative law, as well as commercial and personal property law. You'll also develop skills in legal research, problem-solving, critical analysis, creative thinking, effective communication and negotiation.
Real-world experience is embedded across both degrees. In your arts studies, you'll engage with community-based learning and applied projects that connect theory to real social challenges, complemented by work integrated learning opportunities and internships. In your law degree, there are opportunities for real legal experience including placements in legal practices, research projects and community engagement.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
