About This Course

The Bachelor of Commerce builds business fundamentals applicable across a range of careers — accounting, finance, economics and management — alongside strong quantitative and analytical skills, with fourteen major combinations to choose between.
Majors span Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Analytics, Financial Planning and Property, and every paired combination of them, so you can build either depth in one discipline or a deliberate pairing across two.
First year builds core business knowledge: financial and managerial accounting, financial principles in modern businesses, key principles in economics, management and leadership, and data analytical tools. Second and third year go deeper into your chosen major.
Alongside the technical content you build teamwork, strategic thinking, communication and cultural competence skills, working with a flexible curriculum and a range of elective courses, including international exchange. The curriculum is developed in consultation with industry, and teaching draws on academics and industry-experienced professionals.
Placements in second and third year let you shadow professionals in your field and explore career prospects. Delivery is flexible hybrid, mixing on-campus and online study.
The program totals 144 units over three years at the Adelaide City Campus, with February and July intakes.

• Vocational Education and Training (VET) — Completion of an award from a registered training organisation (RTO) at Certificate IV (AQF level 4) or higher.
• Higher education study — Successful completion of at least 6 months full-time study (or equivalent part-time) in a higher education award program.
• Work and life experience — Completion of an Adelaide University approved enabling, pathway or bridging program; OR A competitive result in the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT); OR Qualify for special entry.
