Bachelor of Commerce (Data Analytics)

The Bachelor of Commerce (Data Analytics) (BCom(DataAnalytics)) is a single degree offered by Australian Catholic University with a minimum duration of three years full-time or the equivalent part-time. It carries 240 credit points and is approved for delivery at ACU's Brisbane, Melbourne and North Sydney campuses, although the handbook records that it is not offered at Melbourne or Brisbane in 2025.

To qualify for the degree a student completes 240 credit points from the schedule of unit offerings: 50 credit points of specified business units, 20 credit points from ACU's Core Curriculum, 10 credit points from a community engagement unit, 120 credit points of specialisation units, and 40 credit points of business electives or electives taken from outside the Faculty of Law and Business. The specified business units cover foundations such as Money Matters, Managing Markets, Managing People and Organisations and Information Technology in Action, while the data analytics specialisation includes units such as Python Fundamentals for Data Science. Professional experience and the community engagement unit Community Engagement: Building Strengths and Capabilities also form part of the course.

Core Curriculum options recorded in the schedule include Self and Community: Exploring the Anatomy of Modern Society, Being Human, Ethics and the Good Life, Justice and Change in a Global World, and The Just Society. Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator, and are advised by the Course Coordinator on all aspects of progression through the course.
