Students complete the full requirements of a Bachelor of Commerce and half the program requirements for a standard Arts degree over 4 years full-time (or equivalent part-time). This includes 5 compulsory Business Foundation courses, 1 compulsory Internship course (BUSN3900), 8 courses to form a first Major, 8 courses to form a second Major or Electives, and Core Curriculum requirements.
For the Bachelor of Commerce, students must complete at least one of the following first Majors: Accounting, Advertising (Sydney Campus only), Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Marketing & Public Relations, or Public Relations. Approved second Majors include Advertising (Sydney Campus only), Business Administration, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, and Public Relations, as well as any other eight-course Major offered across the university.
Students must complete at least one of the following Arts Majors: Advertising, Applied Psychology, Archaeology, Behavioural Science, Counselling, English Literature, Environmental Management, Film & Screen Production, History, Journalism, Liberal Arts, Mathematics, Philosophy, Politics & International Relations, Social Justice, Sociology, Theatre Studies, or Theology.
The Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Arts double degree is offered at both Fremantle and Sydney campuses. Commencement is available in both Semester 1 and Semester 2. Yes, there is a practical component of 150 hours included in the program. Students are also required to complete a compulsory Business Internship course (BUSN3900), and will benefit from industry field trips to lead agencies and companies, as well as projects based on real case studies.
