Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Business Administration

The Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Business Administration (BCom/BBA) is a double degree of Australian Catholic University, set out in the ACU Handbook for 2025. ACU publishes no separate course overview for the award, so the handbook's completion requirements are the fullest account of what students study. The double degree carries 320 credit points and has a minimum duration of four years full-time or the equivalent part-time. Approved locations are Brisbane, Melbourne, North Sydney and Strathfield, and the handbook notes that at Strathfield the Commerce majors available are limited to accounting, human resource management and marketing. To qualify, a student completes 50 credit points of Bachelor of Commerce specified business units, 20 credit points from ACU's Core Curriculum, the 10 credit point unit Community Engagement: Building Strengths and Capabilities, and 80 credit points of Bachelor of Business Administration specified units. A further 120 credit points are made up of an 80 credit point Commerce major together with either a 40 credit point Commerce minor or 40 credit points of electives from the Peter Faber Business School undergraduate offerings, and a final 40 credit points are taken as electives from the offerings of any ACU bachelor degree. Units named in the handbook include Money Matters, Managing Markets, Managing People and Organisations, Information Technology in Action, Principles of Finance and Professional Experience. In all aspects of progress through the course, students are advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee.
