The double degree is a four-year program totalling 192 Units of Credit (UOC). It is designed for intending secondary school teachers and covers both theoretical and practical aspects of education, including 80 days of supervised professional experience in at least two different secondary schools.
The degree is accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority as an initial teaching qualification for both government and non-government secondary schools throughout Australia, and is widely accepted as a teaching qualification internationally. Students qualify as secondary school teachers in two teaching specialisations: business studies and economics.
Work experience is built into both the Bachelor of Commerce and the Bachelor of Education (Secondary). Through the BCom, you can undertake internships in Australia and internationally, as well as work integrated learning experiences such as industry consultancy projects, practicums, or real social entrepreneurship projects. Through the Bachelor of Education (Secondary), you will spend up to 80 days in supervised teaching in at least two secondary-school contexts.
For domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $14,500 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $47,500. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $55,000 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $232,500.
MyBCom portfolio is an award-winning interactive platform and assessment tool used throughout your degree to guide your studies, develop a tailored career plan, and collate a portfolio of professional experiences to showcase to future employers. It helps you specialise your studies by choosing one or two business school majors and ensures you graduate with a breadth of experience and expertise that sets you apart in the eyes of employers.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
