Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Global Studies

The Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Global Studies (BCom/BGlobSt) is a double degree offered by Australian Catholic University with a minimum duration of four years full-time or the equivalent part-time. It carries 320 credit points and is approved for delivery at ACU's Brisbane, Melbourne and North Sydney campuses, though the handbook records that the course is not offered at Brisbane in 2026 and that the Brisbane campus takes no international intakes.

Of the 320 credit points, 180 come from the Bachelor of Commerce component: 60 credit points of specified business units, 80 credit points from a single major, and 40 credit points from either a minor or elective units. The specified business units cover foundations such as financial literacy, managing people and organisations, marketing essentials and information technology in action, and the majors recorded in the schedule of unit offerings include Accounting, Data Analytics, Human Resource Management, Management and Marketing. Community engagement and professional experience units also sit within this part of the course.

A further 120 credit points come from the Bachelor of Global Studies: 40 credit points of specified global studies units, 40 credit points of global studies electives or a minor, and 40 credit points of global studies international experience units. The remaining 20 credit points are taken from ACU's Core Curriculum. Students normally complete 100-level units before related 200-level units, and 200-level units before related 300-level units. Students who meet the requirements of the Bachelor of Commerce or the Diploma in Liberal Arts may exit the course with that award.
