The degree is a 4-year double degree program consisting of 32 courses in total: 16 courses for Commerce and 16 courses for Computer Science. The Commerce component includes 8 core courses (Integrated First Year) and 8 courses from your chosen major. The Computer Science component includes 11 core courses and 5 electives in your chosen major. Mandatory Work Integrated Learning and a Final Year Synthesis are also required.

Yes, work experience is built into the Bachelor of Commerce component. You must complete at least one course credit with a work integrated learning focus, such as an internship or business practicum. Alternatively, you can choose other work integrated learning experiences such as industry consultancy projects, online practicums, or collaborating on real social entrepreneurship projects. Many of these experiences are offered through UNSW Business School's industry partners, including Accenture, Suncorp, Grant Thornton, Flight Centre Travel Group, Tata Group, Synpulse, and more.
Yes, the Bachelor of Computer Science component of this double degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society at the level of Professional.
To apply for this double degree, domestic students (Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holders and New Zealand citizens) need to apply for Double Commerce (UAC code 424100) through the UAC application portal. Upon receiving an offer for this degree, you will choose the second degree to pair with Commerce during the acceptance process. On-time applications usually close at the end of September each year for Term 1 admission, with most offers made in December and January.
