Common Questions
The Bachelor of Communication / Bachelor of Laws combination can be completed in just over three years (10 semesters) at Bond University, thanks to its fast-track trimester timetable. This is notably faster than the up to four years it can take to complete a single law degree at most other universities.
As part of the Bachelor of Communication, you will select a minor (four subjects) in a specific area of interest. These areas include public relations, advertising, journalism, corporate storytelling, creative writing, digital media, film and television, and social media.
Yes. The Bachelor of Laws is an approved degree for the purpose of admission as a legal practitioner in conjunction with the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP), which Bond also offers as a pathway to admission as a legal professional.
During your communication studies, you may take the opportunity to intern in-house with an organisation or agency — past students have interned at organisations including Edelman, Ogilvy PR, Feros Care, Queensland Airports, and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. On campus, you'll create blogs, podcasts, media stories and websites for publication, and produce advertising schedules, marketing campaigns and social media strategies for real clients. Studying the Bachelor of Laws, you may undertake legal work experience through the Bond Law Clinic program or internships with legal firms with the assistance of the Career Development Centre.
Students have access to Bond's multi-million Legal Skills Centre, with electronic moot courts, and one of the largest film/TV/digital media production facilities in South East Queensland.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
