Program accreditation The Bachelor of Computer Science is professionally accredited by the Australian Computer Society . Professional recognition Students and graduates can join the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Attendance information This program is offered full-time, on-campus. This program is also offered online. The online program is not available to International students studying in Australia on a student visa. If you are an International student on a student visa, you must ensure that you enrol in a way that will allow you to complete your enrolment within the expected program duration as stated on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). The recommended study load for international student in each compulsory trimester is 40CP. Managing Study Interruptions Leave of Absence Taking a leave of absence from this program is permitted, subject to conditions outlined in the Enrolment Procedure . Student story Joshua Russell Bachelor of Computer Science Joshua has embarked on a Fulbright Future Scholarship and continued his artificial intelligence studies in the United States. 'Griffith facilitated my passion to learn and participate in extra-curricular activities, giving me opportunities well beyond my degree'. Work-integrated learning You'll complete a 20 credit point Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course in your final year. WIL has been designed to integrate students into the workplace through the completion of an industry-based work project, which is designed to benefit both the student and the industry partner. WIL can be taken as either a Placement or team-based project. With placement, students are placed with an industry partner where students attend their placement 2 days a week to produce the deliverable(s) for that organisation. With a team project, you'll be assigned into a team to work on a project for an industry partner. With either choice, your placement or team project will act as a vehicle to apply what you have learned in your program and deliver valuable direct industry experience. As a Bachelor of Computer Science student, you can unleash your creativity in our App Factory studio and work on software solutions for real clients, while receiving expert guidance and getting paid to learn professional work skills. From mobile app development to machine learning, App Factory will set you up for the future. Find out more. Industry experience Students will gain direct industry experience through the completion of the core 20 credit point Work Integrated Learning course in their capstone year.
