To qualify for entry into Honours, students must have qualified at this University for a Bachelor degree with an average of at least 75% across the major (or majors) in which the Honours degree will be undertaken, with the additional requirement of a Distinction in two of the 300 level subjects required by the major.
The Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) takes 1 year full-time, or a part-time equivalent, and is offered at the Wollongong campus with intakes in both Autumn and Spring sessions.
Students will complete a subject in research methodology to develop advanced research skills, undertake a research project on a topic of their interest, and complete three elective subjects from areas including data mining, software engineering, artificial intelligence, computer security, and others.
