About This Course

Use your computer systems skills to solve real-world challenges The combined Bachelor of Computing Systems Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Computer Science will provide you with a well-rounded skill set in both the hardware and software functions needed to develop innovative solutions to challenges the industry faces.

You will develop an understanding of new software technologies including machine learning, autonomous systems, cybersecurity and virtual reality. Build technical skills with electronic and ICT systems needed for key sectors including industrial automation, smart manufacturing, intelligent transport, e-health, aviation, and civic infrastructure. Sarah, Taylor, Tom and Jackson featured have used our career-ready placements program to gain the practical workplace skills needed to start their careers after graduation. All engineering students complete 12 weeks of industrial experience during their degree. Through your work placement you’ll build important professional networks and put your learning into practice. Computer science students undertake between 200-250 hours of career-ready placement with a relevant organisation. The program is accredited by Engineers Australia. Graduates of this program are able to join as graduate members on completion, and as student members during studies.
