To be eligible for completion with First Class Honours, students must achieve: a minimum weighted average of 60% over year levels 1 to 3, a minimum weighted average of 80% in year level 4, and a High Distinction (HD) grade for the final year unit NBC4006 Built Environment Project 2.
Yes. If you hold a Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), you can gain 96 credit points if you have less than 5 years' industry experience, or 144 credit points if you have more than 5 years' industry experience. VU also has a close relationship with Builders Academy Australia for this purpose. Additionally, completion of pathways such as the Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) (120 credit points) or Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) (144 credit points) from VU guarantee entry and credit into the course.
Students gain experience with building information modelling (BIM), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI). VU's industry network includes companies such as Multiplex, McKenzie Construction Group, John Holland, Built, the Victorian Building Authority, several Melbourne city councils, the Infrastructure Sustainability Council, and Simonds Group. Students also connect with industry via real-world projects, guest speakers, work site visits, industry expos and work placements.
The Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) is offered as a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) for eligible students (Australian citizens, permanent residents and New Zealand citizens), with indicative fees of AU$9,537 per year for a full-time student in 2026. Students may also be able to access a HELP loan to defer tuition fees, repaid through the tax system once income exceeds the compulsory repayment threshold. VU also offers hundreds of scholarships annually worth millions of dollars combined, supporting both marginalised groups and high achievers.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
