How much does counselling at the CHC Counselling & Support Centre cost?

Counselling is provided to CHC students free of charge. Members of the public pay $25 per session if you see a Counselling prac student. If you prefer to be referred to a private practitioner using CHC's rooms, you pay the fee charged by that particular practitioner.

Are the counsellors at the CHC Counselling & Support Centre qualified?

Sessions are facilitated by final-year counselling students (studying Bachelor of Counselling or Master of Counselling) under the mentorship of an experienced registered counsellor. Prac students have completed the majority of their training and have regular mentor and supervision sessions with an experienced practitioner.

Can I have my counselling session online or does it have to be in person?

The CHC Counselling & Support Centre offers both online and in-person counselling sessions.

Who can access the CHC Counselling & Support Centre?

CHC Counselling can be accessed by anyone — both CHC students and members of the public are welcome to book a session.
