Compositing
Digital compositing is the process of combining visual elements into cohesive still and moving images and is integral for any post-production facility. Students are introduced to key areas in compositing, moving from separating and combining still images, to working with complex transparency, camera movement and computer-generated images.

Internship
By application only. Aims to provide students with an internship opportunity that has sound educational value and provides students the chance to initiate and/or develop relationships with professionals in their discipline.
E-Portfolio
Trimester 6 unit designed to formally recognise students' practice-based learning and work-integrated learning activities undertaken throughout the academic program.
Common Questions
Students gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools including Unreal Engine and Unity, working in a simulated studio environment to develop, test, and release their own games.
The course offers you the freedom to choose your own path, with specialisations available in either Game Art or Game Development, allowing you to focus on the area you are most passionate about.
Graduates can pursue roles such as Game Designer, Level Designer, Producer, Technical Designer, 3D Artist, and Animator, contributing to indie projects and AAA titles alike. Skills gained also apply to areas such as simulation, education, and broader interactive media.
The course is offered at JMC Academy campuses in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney, with intakes in February, June, and September each year.
No ATAR is required to apply for the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Game Design) at JMC Academy. FEE-HELP is also available to eligible domestic students.
