Yes, the program is suitable for beginners as well as emerging and established performing artists who want to continue exploring their independent practices, engaging in performance theory, professional practice, and entrepreneurial skills.
The course includes Work Integrated Learning units (Professional Practice 1 and 2) and you'll be encouraged and supported to find relevant work placements, enabling you to experience the reality of working within the industry or a particular company, and the opportunity to build useful networks for a future career.
Standard entry to this program is by interview only. Admission is based on an entrance rank, which can be achieved through Year 12 ATAR, a diploma pathway, other Australian qualifications, work experience, or an overseas qualification. International students must also meet an English language requirement of an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, with no band score below 6.0 (or equivalent).
Graduates of the Bachelor of Creative Industries (Drama and Performance) can pursue careers as a Director, Playwright, Actor/Actress, Producer, Voice-over artist, or Arts facilitator, and upon graduation will be ready to jump into a career anywhere they choose.
